Background

Brook recently joined Smart Schofield Smart, P.C. to head up the firm’s personal injury practice.  He continues to represent injured individuals in Utah and Idaho and is thrilled to have the opportunity to grow the firm’s reputation in the personal injury field.

Brook began his law career working for Richards, Brandt, Miller & Nelson where his practice emphasized the representation of businesses and insurance companies in workers compensation and employment related matters.

Brook then moved to Dunn & Dunn where his practice emphasized workers compensation and employment defense and other insurance defense.

In October 2000, Mr. Millard joined Eisenberg & Gilchrist and Brayton Purcell, LLP as an associate attorney.  His practice consisted of representing plaintiffs in asbestos injury, personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, legal and medical malpractice cases.  Mr. Millard became a shareholder of Eisenberg & Gilchrist in 2007.

In December 2007, Brook and James E. Morton, opened Morton and Millard, PLLC.  At Morton and Millard, Brook he continued to represent individuals in personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, medical malpractice and legal malpractice cases.  He also added business litigation and intellectual property litigation to his areas of practice.

Following the untimely death of his partner, James Morton, Brook joined the Wrona Law Firm in July 2009 where he continued to practice personal injury and wrongful death but also was able to work on complex Civil matters including legal malpractice, construction defect and even some small criminal matters.

Brook Millard began working with Robert J. DeBry & Associates in December 2015, where he brought his experience handling complex personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, commercial litigation and professional malpractice to the firm.

When not practicing law, Brook loves spending time with his wife Jerilyn, traveling and enjoying good food and drinks.  Brook has four children, a 10-year old grandson and a new grandbaby on the way.  A recreation enthusiast, Brook enjoys mountain biking, hiking, scuba diving, and working out in his home gym.  Brook is an avid fan of University of Utah Athletics and was a seven-time letterman in the hammer throw while attending the University of Utah.
